Florida Republican Representative Seemed Bummed That Random Terrorists "Hate Homosexuals More Than We Do"
A Montana representative says she'd rather have her suicidal daughter kill herself than be trans. "Wouldn't I just do anything to help save her? I really had to think and the answer was No."
We already know the depth of the hatred the Far-Right has for LGBTQIA+ people, but kudos (I suppose) to Florida Republican Rep. Jeff Holcomb for doing what so few of his fellow fascists have the courage to do: admit it loudly and proudly. “Our terrorist enemies hate homosexuals more than we do.” He seemed annoyed, surprised, and envious that a different group of bigots hates homosexuals more than the American Putin Party.
In Montana, Republican representative Kerri Seekins-Crowe says she would rather see her daughter commit suicide than live her life as her true self. “Someone once asked me, ‘Wouldn’t I just do anything to help save her?’ And I really had to think and the answer was, ‘No.’” Seekins-Crowe’s daughter was suicidal for three years, but Montana’s Mother of the Year brushed that aside as “emotional manipulation”.
Meatball Ron DeSantis refused to answer when asked if he “supports more mainstream human rights, like gay marriage”. (While in Israel, DeSnowflake claimed that Hurricane Dorian (2019) did not do more damage to Florida because of “the prayer [he] put in the Western Wall”.)
Wisconsin Senator Ron “Anon” Johnson has been spreading the debunked lie recently that Covid vaccines are causing people to immediately drop dead. (There is a zero percent chance Ron is unvaxxed, btw.) Spreading and broadcasting lies like this should leave Johnson and scores of others open to manslaughter charges, in my opinion. Last July, former U.S attorney Barbara McQuade presented a strong argument for charging Trump with manslaughter. A Lancet report estimated that Trump’s Covid policies (or lack thereof) resulted in 461,100 excess and unnecessary deaths.
The right to legal abortion is gone and far-right extremeists have begun serious attempts to make gay marriage and birth control illegal. What is the newest target in their War on Women? Modern divorce laws.
“Pro-life” is a big tent, yo.
Simpering Jellyfish Kevin McCarthy Agreed To “Some of Tucker’s Terms” Before Being Allowed To Serve As House Speaker
In the Before Days, this would receive weeks of constant media coverage and prompt immediate investigations and hearings. Now, it probably won’t even be widely reported.
Former Fox producer Abby Grossman says Tucker Carlson was dictating his terms via phone to Kevin McCarthy before the latter became House Speaker. “[Tucker] believed that he could broker who was House Speaker. He wanted to do that live on air . . . McCarthy said no but he did call Tucker with Massie and agreed to some of Tucker’s terms according to a text Carlson had sent me”.
Afterwards, McCarthy thanked Carlson (who was one of his supervisors, at that point) by giving him (and him alone) all of the security video footage from January 6. A professional clown wearing a look of permanent constipation extorted the House Speaker for exclusive possession of video that could offer a wealth of inside information to various domestic or foreign terrorists who might wish to finance plans or draw up plans for a second attack. This turning over of vital evidence to a entertainer who reads a teleprompter is a crime (or it ought to be) and would also have been a colossal scandal once upon a time.
We learned years ago that Donald Trump called Sean Hannity every night for advice and talking points for the following day. Hannity was Trump’s shadow Chief of Staff. Do you remember when that was widely reported? I don’t.
Apropos of Nothing:
18 U.S. Code § 610 — Coercion of Political Activity
It shall be unlawful for any person to intimidate, threaten, command, or coerce, or attempt to intimidate, threaten, command, or coerce, any employee of the Federal Government as defined in section 7322(1) of title 5, United States Code, to engage in, or not to engage in, any political activity . . . Any person who violates this section shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.
Here is some footage from Jesse Watters’s interview for Carlson’s 8 PM chair. He’s a racist misogynist, but he’s still got miles to go before he can fill the white sheets of the Grand Wizard.
I can’t even remember Hunter’s last press conference.
I really regret voting for Hunter Biden now
Impeach him!
Hunter is so popular on Fox, they should give him the 8 pm time slot.
When are we going to talk about Hunter’s Chinese patents & trademarks and all that money he’s getting from the Saudis? Oh, wait…
He *could* be running from his rape trial... Oh, wait.
Media Matters: “Former President Donald Trump amplified QAnon-promoting accounts nearly 500 times during his first year of actively posting on his social media platform Truth Social, according to a Media Matters review.”
Media Matters: “Fox News’ many election lies about Smartmatic” [There is a lot of them. Smartmatic is suing Fox for $2.7 billion.]
The mainstream media is garbage.
The Media Hid Donald Trump’s Physical Attack On A Reporter For 37 Days
Oliver Willis, May 2, 2003Imagine this following scenario: President Joe Biden is upset after a speaking event, and a reporter asks him a question.
Perturbed by the question, Biden grabs the reporter’s phone that they were recording on and throws it aside. Now, imagine that such an event occurred in full view of multiple reporters and that instead of breaking into the 24-hour news cycle to report it, the journalists sat on the story for 37 days.
This actually happened, but it didn’t happen with Joe Biden — it happened with Donald Trump. The decision to suppress this event says a lot about the mainstream media, and it isn’t anything good. . . .
On March 27 after his rally in Waco, Texas, multiple reports now tell us that Trump grabbed NBC reporter Vaughn Hillyard’s phone after Hillyard asked him if he was “irritated” by the ongoing criminal investigation occurring in New York.
Somehow the story of this didn’t surface until May 1, in a Vanity Fair report by Charlotte Klein . . .
According to the Post, the following reporters were in attendance and apparently witnessed the attack: “The journalists traveling on the plane with Trump included Vaughn Hillyard of NBC, Brian Glenn of Right Side Broadcasting Network, Sophia Cai of Axios, Rob Crilly of the Daily Mail, and Evan Vucci, a photographer with the Associated Press, according to photographs taken on board the plane and audio recordings of the gaggle.”
They didn’t bother to report this physical altercation involving the former President of the United States and the current, leading Republican candidate for the presidency.
Even Hillyard himself gave Trump a pass. In his report on the back-and-forth aired on MSNBC, Hillyard didn’t mention any of this. . . . He didn’t indicate that Trump grabbed his phone. He didn’t play any recording of the incident, which we now know exists thanks to the Vanity Fair and Post reports.
This is profoundly strange and disturbing behavior. It is hard to imagine any politician in America getting such deferential treatment, and I definitely can’t see the press letting someone like Biden or Hillary Clinton or John Kerry and definitely not President Barack Obama get away with this.
But as always, there is a Trump exception.
CNN is making a strong push to appear more Fox-like to grab some former Tucker fans. The network is holding a town hall meeting for Trump, who has been indicted on 34 counts of business fraud in New York, is currently on trial for rape and defamation, and has at least three other indictments a-comin’ for attempting to overturn the vote results in Georgia, stealing up to 60 boxes of classified and top secret material from the White House (and then first refusing to return the documents and then lying about having done so), and planning and inciting an armed, seditious insurrection to attack the US Capitol. It’s quite odd that Trump is happy to have his town hall on a “fake” and “rigged” media network. Could his years of railing against “fake news” be a lie, nothing but a shtick?
