DeSantis finds himself in a bit of a pickle. He needs MAGA voters, but if he goes after Trump like Trump is going after him, he’ll lose that support. But allowing Trump to fire away at him without any reply will show he’s afraid to defend himself and lend credence to whatever Trump is saying or implying. He must have known this was coming sooner or later . . . maybe he was hoping he could be saved if Trump had been indicted by now . . .
