Trump Promises To Release (Next Monday!) A "Large, Complex, Detailed but Irrefutable REPORT" That Will Prove He Was Right About 2020 Election Fraud In Georgia
Trump claims this "CONCLUSIVE Report" will be a "complete EXONERATION! . . . all charges should be dropped against me & others".
Well, this is unexpected.
The day after he was indicted for the fifth time this year, Donald Trump, age “seven seven”, posted an announcement of “a major News Conference” scheduled for next Monday, August 21, at 11:00 a.m., at his New Jersey golf course/burial ground, at which time the he will present to the world “A Large, Complex, Detailed but Irrefutable REPORT on the Presidential Election Fraud which took place in Georgia”.
Trump claimed that “[b]ased on the results of this CONCLUSIVE Report” — which is “almost complete” — “all charges should be dropped against me & others”. Indeed, Trump promises “a complete EXONERATION!”
What the hell is Trump going to release? His usual move is blank pages, but that won’t work if he gives copies to reporters. Either way, Trump will not be exonerated by the time he turns himself in and is arrested — and quite possibly handcuffed and had his mugshot taken.
Have every one of Trump’s lawyers completely given up trying to control their client? It’s unlikely they ever possessed even a tiny portion of control. Trump thinks he’s the greatest lawyer of all time — and thus he has incriminated himself more times than I can count. He is going to go lose (what’s left of) his fucking mind when he sees how his interviews and his “dumps”* are used as evidence against him in court.
Gabriella Ferrigine (Salon) gathered reactions from various legal minds:
National security attorney Bradley Moss mocked the idea that Trump would present a “detailed and irrefutable report that he has been holding on to for 2.5 years and never presented in any court of law.” Stephen Fowler, a reporter for Georgia Public Broadcasting, pointed out the irony in Trump’s argument, noting that he “is now arguing the new Georgia racketeering charges against him should be dropped by ... making similar false claims of fraud in a way that got him indicted not 12 hours ago.” Politico legal affairs reporter Kyle Cheney pointed out that “Trump’s attempt to do a version of this in a Sept. 2021 letter to Brad Raffensperger is literally a charge in the indictment,” referring to a letter the ex-president sent to Georgia’s Secretary of State asking him to decertify the results of the 2020 election.
Michael Bromwich, a former federal prosecutor and Justice Department inspector general, warned that Trump’s plan may backfire. “Trump’s lawyers will be hiding under the covers, and prosecutors will be listening for obstruction and witness tampering,” he wrote. “The most likely result: accelerated trial dates in DC and Georgia.”
“I did everything right and they indicted me”
Could this “large” report (from the standpoint of paper?) be somehow connected to Mike Pillow’s latest vote-fraud symposium? Lindell is holding a two-day conference (tomorrow and Thursday) in Springfield, Missouri, which features an “all-star” lineup of far-right nut-job speakers. According to Right Side Broadcasting Network’s YouTube channel, Lindell:
will layout [sic] his unique plan to save our elections. This has never been done before in world history, and has not even previously been talked about by anyone. It does not rely on legislation, judges, or legal actions.
It looks like Lindell has given up his claims of revealing evidence of massive voter fraud at one of his conferences — after not delivering anything time after time after time after time. Earlier this month, Lindell promised that in the 2024 election, Trump “will have more votes than people in the US”. Interesting.
One of Trump’s pro-bono lawyers, Alina Habba — who nuked one of Trump’s possible defenses on August 3 by admitting that “everybody [including Trump] was made aware” that Trump lost the 2020 election — might be involved in next week’s grand reveal:
Habba says Trump isn’t worried about the Georgia indictment. He may not be worried about any of them because in late June, he told a crowd in Michigan: “Every time the radical left Democrats, Marxists, communists, fascists indict me, I consider it a great badge of honor, and a badge of courage.”
If he feels it’s a great honor, then why is he so angry?
Trump has the opportunity to finally show the world that he was “right about everything” and he was (is!) the greatest president God ever made. He’ll get to make every one of those “nasty” prosecutors look like a goddamn idiot. Trump must be so excited to prove his innocence that he can’t sleep at night. That’s why he’s “dumping”* in the wee hours of the morning.
[*: He’s not on Twitter, so he’s not “tweeting”. I’m not using the term “truthing”. So, in appreciation for Trump’s talk of “big massive dumps”, I am calling when he posts to his bot-ridden, fourth-rate, Twitter-knockoff “dumps”. Because his thoughts are shit. So . . . Trump’s dumps.]
