What Is “Writer. Reader. Grouch.”?
My name is Allan Wood. I am a writer, a reader, and a grouch.
I grew up in northern Vermont, spent 18 years in New York City, moved to Ontario in 2005, and now live in a small, remote town on Vancouver Island with my partner Laura and our two dogs, Cookie and Kai.
I am a lifelong Boston Red Sox fan and have written two baseball books — Babe Ruth and the 1918 Red Sox and Don’t Let Us Win Tonight: An Oral History of the 2004 Boston Red Sox’s Impossible Playoff Run — and am currently working on a third. I also write The Joy of Sox baseball blog.
WRG is where I will write about things I like, things I do not like, and things that simply are. If you subscribe, you will receive each post by email.
